About Us
Heartland Human Futures Lab produces actionable research, develops scalable programs, and mobilizes international networks that advance inclusive human development, economic mobility, and ethical innovation in an AI-driven world.
Our vision is to contribute to a world where every individual, regardless of background or cognitive profile, can thrive in an inclusive, technologically advanced, and economically mobile society.
Our lead personnel:
Raphael Tuffour (2-4)
Growing up in a setting where neurodiversity was virtually unknown, he was largely misunderstood as he struggled with various difficulties. As an adult, he lives with the philosophy that “no child must be left behind because of their neurodiversity challenges”. He has worked extensively in youth care roles in the United States and continues to contribute to research and programs that enhance youth development in the US and beyond.
Samuel Owusu
A versatile researcher and writer with interests in educational technology, neurodiversity, and inclusion. His research focus includes high-functioning individuals struggling with neurodiversity and solution-driven learning.
